The Google Home Max Is Now Available In The US

Google has a new, pricey option for you to consider.

We've reached out to Google for comment. Verizon has the Home Max available in chalk, but charcoal is now sold out.

The new Home Max retails for $399 in the USA and the device is available from a number of retailers, this includes Best Buy and Verizon Wireless, the device does not appear to be available as yet from the Google Store. The speaker has dual 4.5-inch woofers and custom 0.7-inch tweeters that give it 20 times the power of the regular Google Home.

The Home Max - which was developed in-house - benefits from Google's Smart Sound algorithm which can use the microphones on board to adjust the speaker's sound according to where it is placed in the room. You can buy one directly from Google's online store, or rather join a waiting list to be able to buy one, presumably because of high demand. There is still no word on United Kingdom availability. One would expect a larger rollout for Google's first high-end speaker - and for it to at least be sold in its own store on launch day - but it's still early in the day and things could change.

I know we are eagerly trying to get our hands on one from Google for review, so when we do, we'll be posting our Unboxing and Hands-On videos as soon as we can!
