NFL Week 15 Preview: Rams at Seahawks

Let's remember, though, that the Rams controlled the game the first time these two teams met this season.

The Seahawks (8-5) seek to regain their swagger after losing their poise in an ugly road loss. While Seattle ultimately won, it was largely because of mistakes from Jared Goff.

None of those chilly December trips to the Northwest carried the amount of significance as Sunday's meeting between the Rams and Seahawks. In fact, Goff might not recognize some of the Seattle Seahawks charged with chasing him around Sunday, but they're no less fierce. For the Rams, it's another measuring stick in their surprising season. In 2016, Whitworth played all 16 games without allowing a single sack. "We've had the Vikings and (the Eagles) that were both close that we'd like to pull out. I don't see him playing as poorly this time around, especially against a banged-up Seahawks defense".

"So, no I think we're in a great spot". "A big one for us, a big one for them".

That's a lot of personnel turnover, but the Rams know better than to think it will be any easier against a Seattle team that might need a victory Sunday to maintain a realistic chance of making the playoffs. On Wednesday, Seahawks' head coach Pete Carroll addressed the media, saying that both of the Pro Bowl linebackers would be day-to-day. J. Wright are question marks for Sunday after leaving the Jaguars game with injuries.

The Rams have proven they can beat teams in various ways.

"It's like the Rams have been living in a video game this season, as Los Angeles is averaging a plump 30.5 points per game".

To slow the attack, the Seahawks need to duplicate their earlier effort. Los Angeles lost at home to Seattle 16-10 on October 8, when the Rams entered with the league's highest-scoring offense.

"The offense is clearly built around his ability and the dynamics he offers", Carroll said. McVay said Gurley didn't get enough touches in the loss to the Eagles. You have to earn everything you get.

Woods, 25, led the Rams in receptions (47) and yards (703) before getting hurt.

But if Seattle focuses on Gurley, it better not overlook Goff. "He's creative with the plays that he makes and he utilizes his players". Last year, Goff and Case Keenum were sacked a combined 49 times, with Goff hitting the turf 26 times in seven games. Still, any loss by Philly is good for the Rams. "They play together. They're in unison". He leads the Rams with 783 yards receiving on 56 catches.

"Long process trying to get healthy, trying to get back", Woods said Wednesday, via the team's website.

Receiver Robert Woods, who has been sidelined three games because of a shoulder injury, and linebacker Connor Barwin, who sat out two games because of a forearm injury, are expected to return against the Seahawks.

"Those are the types of things you do when you get to meet a guy, play against a guy like that, vice versa", Wilson said.
