SC dismisses Congress plea to verify 25% paper trail in Gujarat

The top court dismissed the plea and refused to interfere in the Gujarat Assembly elections.

Senior Congress leader Ahmed Patel had requested the election commission for quick action in the matter.According to media reports, an EVM was also tampered with in Rajkot East constituency, a complaint to the EC said.

The VVPAT machine is connected with EVMs and dispenses a paper proof for the voters so that they can verify that their vote is cast correctly.
