Jazz's Gobert Out A Month With Sprained PCL

Rudy Gobert #27 of the Utah Jazz defends against Nikola Jokic #15 of the Denver Nuggets during their game at Vivint Smart Home Arena on October 18, 2017 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

Gobert sustained his injury early in the first quarter of Friday's game against the Boston Celtics.

Utah Jazz center Rudy Gobert suffered a posterior cruciate ligament sprain in his left knee and will miss three to four weeks, multiple media outlets reported Saturday. As he tried to get back to his feet, Gobert fell back to the floor and rolled to his back before clutching his left knee.

Expect more minutes from Ekpe Udoh with Gobert out and an even larger role out of Derrick Favors. If they're to have any hope of once again shocking their opponent and coming away with a big win inside Quicken Loans Arena, they'll have to be sure to excel in the following key areas. The cut required six stitches. The Frenchman has been dealing with a bone bruise, as well as the confirmed PCL strain according to Charania.

Gobert, who missed 11 consecutive games earlier this season with a bruised knee, entered Friday night's game averaging 12.2 points and 10.1 rebounds per game.
