James Taylor to play Summerfest

Rock and Roll Hall of Famers James Taylor and Bonnie Raitt will headline the second night of Summerfest 2018.

Taylor's 17th studio album "Before This World" was released in 2015.

On Monday, Steely Dan and The Doobie Brothers announced they are teaming up for a June 12 show at Denver's Pepsi Center in what's being called The Summer of Living Dangerously tour.

In his review of the show in The Star, critic Bill Brownlee wrote: "The blues artist who briefly became an unlikely pop star with the release of her tenth album "Nick of Time" in 1989 dug deep throughout a vibrant performance that lasted nearly two hours". He also played a sold-out show in 2006 at the 2,000-seat Weidner Center. In the early 90s, she won Grammy awards for her albums Nick of Time and Luck of the Draw, which featured hits such as, "Something To Talk About" and "I Can't Make You Love Me".

The tickets for this first round of dates will be going on sale to the general public on January 19th at 10am local time.
