After Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh ban Padmaavat

Some Karni Sena members are found protesting outside Censor Board of Film Certification office in order to put a permanent ban on the release. However, UP, Uttarakhand and Goa Chief Ministers have no qualms about the movie's release in their states, though they are being watchful of the events that could unfold.

When a film clears all it's legal dues than it has the right to release and Karni Sena, who so badly want the film to be banned have never even seen it. The film was already banned by 2 states, Rajasthan and Himachal Pradesh namely and now state of Gujarat has also chose to ban the film upon it's release. On Friday, Gujarat CM Vijay Rupani also said that Deepika Padukone, Shahid Kapoor and Ranveer Singh starrer won't get a release in Gujarat. The government officials have confirmed that Padmaavat won't be banned in the state. This comes days after Rajasthan Chief Minister Vasundhra Raje announced the same for her state as well.

Succumbing to sentiments of the aggrieved Rajput community, the Gujarat government has decided not to allow the release of controversial film Padmaavat, the Sanjay Leela Bhansali film which had to drop the "I" from the legendary Rajasthan queen's name as per the advice of the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC).

Asked if the film would be banned in Madhya Pradesh, Chouhan told reporters, "Jo kaha tha, wo hoga (What I had said, will happen)".

So far, only Goa CM Manohar Parrikar has said the film will be allowed to release in his state. "Now, his statement that he will abide by his commitment clearly indicates that ban on the movie will continue until there is a specific decision taken by the Centre or judiciary".
