Cindy Crawford returns to Pepsi as PepsiCo launches global campaign

The ad, titled "This is the Pepsi", will debut February 4 during Super Bowl LII as part of the Pepsi Generations campaign. Now the brand is bringing back the supermodel to re-envision its famous campaign. News, the advertisement will also feature Crawford's son, Presley Gerber, as well as several other celebrities who have previously appeared in Pepsi campaigns.

"This time of year it always gets featured in the roundups of the Best Super Bowl Commercials ever, and every January I revisit my original Pepsi spot that I just love because the music was flawless and the little boys were ideal and it was just one of those commercials that everyone loved and it made people happy", Crawford told People. "The commercial was a big moment for me and has spanned generations".

Are you excited to see Cindy's new Pepsi Super Bowl commercial, HollywoodLifers?

In the original commercial from 1992 Crawford pulls up to a gas station in a Lamborghini and steps out in a white tank top and jean shorts to buy a Pepsi from the machine.

"This spot is a reminder of how much fun Pepsi has created for every generation", Crawford continued. The "Pepsi Generations" campaign will celebrate the best moments of our past, create new iconic moments for today and set the stage for an exciting future, allowing Pepsi to be the choice for decades to come.

The Pepsi Super Bowl Halftime Show is headlined by superstar Justin Timberlake. It will also begin to promote the brand's decision to include retro packaging on all products, starting January 29. It's surprising to remember that Cindy's iconic commercial was part of the company announcing a new can design.

The brand is also returning to its Pepsi Stuff loyalty program first released in 1996. New Pepsi Stuff prizes will be released throughout the year.

The "Pepsi Generations" campaign also will include nostalgic pop-up exhibitions throughout the United States of America meant to celebrate the brand's (less controversial) "pop-culture milestones in Pepsi history". Pepsi Generations Live pop-up exhibits will guide fans through the evolution of how Pepsi's history has connected with people over generations.

"I think probably that will be the highlight for me is just getting to see my dad", she shared. The series will kick-off during Super Bowl LII in Minneapolis at Nicolette Island Pavilion (40 Power St, Minneapolis, MN 55401) featuring a private performance from breakout Country music duo LOCASH.
