Detective Pikachu Finally Comes West This March

Finally, it won't just be Japan who gets to solve cases with the world's best electric rodent. Western players will receive both episodes with their purchase. As its title suggests, it features an oddly talkative Pikachu who also happens to be a detective. When that game arrives, it'll be accompanied by an amiibo quite unlike any you've seen before.

A new Detective Pikachu Amiibo has been unveiled, and the sheer size of this thing makes it a crucial addition to any hardcore Amiibo fan's collection. When used, it will allow players to view all Pika Prompts - short video clips - from completed chapters and those which they missed finding earlier.

A special limited-edition oversized amiibo of Detective Pikachu will also be released at launch. Are you more interested in watching the Detective Pikachu movie?

It's nearly twice as tall as a regular Pikachu amiibo! The two team up and start solving mysteries together using reasoning and logic, while looking for Tim's missing father, Harry Goodman. Together, Tim and Detective Pikachu will encounter a number of mysteries in Ryme City and will need to talk to witnesses and gather their testimony in order to discover the truth.

Detective Pikachu, the Pokemon-spinoff that released for 3DS in Japan a couple years ago, is making its way to the west.

Detective Pikachu will be available for the Nintendo 3DS family of systems, which includes the 2DS. But we have to admit that even we don't understand what's going on with Detective Pikachu.
