Former Alabama linebacker Reuben Foster arrested in Tuscaloosa

Foster was charged with second degree possession, according to the website, and bond was set at $2,500.

San Francisco 49ers linebacker Reuben Foster was arrested on a charge of second-degree marijuana possession Friday in Tuscaloosa, Ala.

It's only the latest blemish on Foster's record, and another reason for the Niners to question his maturity.

Foster failed a drug test at the NFL Combine and hosted a party that was sponsored by a vaporizer company during the NFL draft.

California legalized and decriminalized recreational marijuana on January 1 but Alabama is the home of draconian marijuana laws.

He played in 10 games for San Francisco in 2017, recording 72 tackles.

He was drafted 31st overall by the 49ers last spring. It is unclear if there will be ramifications for him with the team.
