Jack White Releases New Singles For The First Time In 4 Years

White took a complete break in the wake of Lazaretto's release back in 2014, but is preparing a live return at Governors Ball and Boston Calling, and is now back with some concrete details about his third solo effort.

Previewing the former White Stripes' leader's third solo album Boarding House Reach, and his first in over three years, comes in the form of "Connected By Love", which is set to premiere on Zane Lowe's Beats 1 radio show this afternoon.

As with most White singles, there is a b-side.

Check out the songs and video below. White added vocals, synthesizer and acoustic guitar to "Connected By Love", which also includes drummer Louis Cato, bassist Charlotte Kemp Muhl (The Ghost of a Saber Tooth Tiger), synthesizer player DJ Harrison, keyboardist Neal Evans (Soulive, Talib Kweli, John Scofield), percussionist Bobby Allende (David Byrne) and The McCrary Sisters vocalists Ann McCrary and Regina McCrary. This is a different direction for Jack, who is an outspoken advocate for analog instruments and vinyl, and has not put out any new music since 2015's Dodge and Burn with the Dead Weather. Lazarertto proved equally popular with Grammy voters, scoring a nomination as "Best Alternative Music Album", while its title track received the 2015 Grammy Award for "Best Rock Performance" as well an additional nod as "Best Rock Song".

"Connected By Love" will be available as a seven inch single, with stripped down guitar-led cut "Respect Commander" on the flip.
