Joshua - Parker fight set to be confirmed

Fury is expected to fight for the first time in two-and-a-half years in April, while Joshua is now in advanced talks over a bout with New Zealand's WBO champion Joseph Parker.

The fighters' respective promotions, Matchroom Boxing and Duco Events, have been locked in negotiations since the end of past year, with the purse split the largest obstacle that needed to be hurdled.

"Joshua is a big man". They truly believe they knock Anthony Joshua out.

"We feel otherwise. You're going to see a lot of fireworks this press conference".

Before that heavyweight blockbuster takes place, however, Joshua looks set to fight New Zealander Joseph Parker as talks are in an advanced stage with the WBO Champion.

"We're excited about Joshua", Higgins told Behind the Gloves. Joshua also plans to challenge America's WBC holder Deontay Wilder.

"AJ wants all the belts and Parker is the flawless fight, the ideal time", said Hearn.

For a quiet man not prone to bouts of trash-talking, Joseph Parker offered a dramatic message of intent yesterday as the World Boxing Organisation heavyweight champion revealed his "sole mission is to smash to bits the man with the glass chin". To do that he has to beat Parker and Wilder.

Joshua is doing the media rounds at the moment despite no formal announcement just yet for his next fight. "We are very close".

"If we get the deal fully done then I'll send him on a plane straight away", he added.
