Bill Murray Lampoons Steve Bannon in Hilarious SNL Cold Open

Steve Bannon, who has exclusively been portrayed as the Grim Reaper on SNL, appeared to discuss Wolff's book and unveiled that he is being played by Bill Murray.

The book features Bannon's scathing comments about Donald Trump Jr calling his meeting with the Russian lawyer during the 2016 presidential election campaign as "treasonous" and "unpatriotic".

Picking up on this issue, the comedy sketch show, which usually features Bannon as nothing but a death, satan skull, surprised the viewers by casting Bill Murray for the role.

SNL opened with a spoof of Mika Brzezinski and Joe Scarborough's Morning Joe, played by Kate McKinnon and Alex Moffat respectively.

"SNL" brought out another old cast member, Fred Armisen, to play Michael Wolff, the author of "Fire and Fury", the bestseller that explores the inner workings of the Trump White House.

Asked by the "Morning Joe" hosts if his story is truthful, Armisen's Wolff responds: "You read it, right?"

'There were baby races. "There were baby races. Trump would say, 'A thousand bucks on the black one, '" he said.

"I'm...coming out with a new line of wrinkled barn jackets called Frumpers for Guys", Murray's Bannon said.

"OK that does sound like me", Murray's Bannon concluded.

Murray's Bannon didn't let his moment go by without reminding everyone he was the one who convinced the country to elect Trump, though, and he threatened to "do it again". "Already got some prospects".

"It is time for America to slide down the Bannon-ster."

Armisen as Wolff regaled the pair with tales of "baby races" in the White House in which President Donald Trump gets two babies of different races and makes them compete for a bowl of cheddar goldfish. So who knows? There's only one job more powerful in the world than being president: "BEING OPRAH!".
