Tennessee Titans vs New England Patriots: Game Prediction

Tennessee shocked many with a come-from-behind upset win over the Chiefs last weekend in Kansas City.

Saturday night's victor advances to the AFC championship game, where it will play the victor of Sunday's Steelers-Jacksonville Jaguars game for a spot in the Super Bowl. The task will be tough for Tennessee. Will those distractions galvanize them or will they throw them off course?

"We want to let this momentum carry on into the next game".

The Patriots ranked 20 among the NFL's 32 teams in rushing defense during the regular season, yielding an average of 114.8 yards per game on the ground.

Derrick Henry was not at all pleased by his performance in the season finale versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. Former Patriot Logan Ryan and All-Pro Kevin Byard will need to continue their excellent play in the back end to stop Brandin Cooks and Rob Gronkowski from having big nights against the Titans through the air.

"He still loves to blitz, " Brady said of LeBeau.

"It's a playoff game, so it's not like it's the preseason where I can go out there, [say] 'Oh, it's Brady, ' and I'm chillin, ' " said Tennessee safety Kevin Byard, who tied for the league lead in interceptions. Against the Patriots, he is going to need to do the same.

We basically saw this factor come into play in the wild card round. Bill Belichick's club is once again the top seed in the AFC and is looking to win the Super Bowl for the third time in four seasons - for the second time in franchise history. "I would say his touch on the ball, too, that gets people open when he's scrambling". There can not be any slipups this week versus the Patriots. Titans Offensive Coordinator Terry Robiskie said on Wednesday afternoon that the only other quarterback he had seen complete a touchdown pass to himself was Super Bowl Champion Brad Johnson, so the Mariota-to-Mariota connection is a rare feat indeed. Simple fundamentals like running and catching can go a long way.

As has been noted, the Tennessee Titans have nothing to lose. It is a given that if you are able to get garbage at the feet of Tom Brady, he is not the same QB.

Brady was his usual excellent self and although he is losing a bit of his mojo at age 40, there is no more experienced nor clutch performer than him. Defensive tackle Jurrell Casey is next on their list with 6.0 sacks of his own, which is rare for an interior defensive lineman.

"It's not like if he stays in the pocket he can't make throws", defensive back Devin McCourty told reporters earlier this week. If Henry can't get going, the Titans will have to rely on Mariota's arm, and that could spell doom for their chances.

He was then inactive for the final three regular-season games, and with the Patriots earning a bye, he has had an additional month to recover and gain a greater comfort level to make a return. "He's always studying as hard as he can every week, so just seeing him do the same old that he does every week - prepare hard, practice hard and get ready for the game". Sure, Casey has to play well but someone has to be there to benefit from his pressures up the middle, so why not Orapko?

The Titans will, however, hope to capitalize on the waves made. However, in this game, he needs to be not only solid on the field but solid in what information he can provide for his team.

The Patriots looked deep this year, opening up their offense like never before.
