Teen reportedly apologizes for racist social media rants, says 'I'm an idiot'

"I'm from New Jersey so I can say n- as much as I want", adds Barber, whose hometown could not be confirmed Wednesday.

A University of Alabama student from New Jersey, who said her sorority membership means "everything to me", has been booted from the group after posting racist videos. The videos are still making the rounds, and it all kicked off when Barber shared this video of herself in the bathroom.

"These remarks are ignorant and disturbing and in no way reflect the values of The University of Alabama", university spokesman Chris Bryant said in a statement.

Barber then said the N-word three times, before professing: 'I don't care if it's Martin Luther King Day'. This morning, it looks like the University of Alabama laid down their punishment to Bayer in the form of expulsion.

Asked if she considered the advice from one of her friends who suggested that Barber not post the videos, Barber replied: "No, I'm an idiot".

Barber, who apparently deleted her social media accounts, could not be reached for comment. "Ms. Barber is no longer a member of Alpha Phi".

'The actions of this student do not represent the larger student body or the values of our University, and she is no longer enrolled here, ' the university's president Stuart R. Bell said in a press release.

"Nobody understands how much I love Alpha Phi, and now someone wants to snake my Finsta 'cause I said n****r", she says.

"I love how I act like I love Black people because I fucking hate n****rs", Barber says.

In the first video, Barber is at a sink before she turns off the water.

"Alpha Phi, 'Be tired of the company you keep for they are a reflection of who you are or who you want to be", wrote Collins on his Twitter account.

In a second video, which appears to be in response to backlash from the first, Barber launches into a racist rant using multiple expletives.

The University of Alabama says social media videos of a student repeatedly using a racial slur have been reported to the school's student-conduct office.

"I did something really, really bad", Barber told The New York Post.

Barber has since apologized for her unwarranted racial rant saying "I feel terrible", she said.

"I did something really, really bad", Barber told the New York Post. Well, she's not one of them anymore. "There's just no excuse for what I did". "It was done on MLK Day and the fact that she voiced that really hurt me", Kourtney King told WBRC. "There's no excuse. I did something really bad".
