White House Doctor Confirms: Trump In "Excellent" Mental And Physical Health

White House Doctor Confirms: Trump In

"I found no evidence that the president has any issues whatsoever with his thought process", Jackson told reporters during Tuesday's White House briefing.

White House physician Dr. Ronny Jackson says Trump is 6 foot 3 and weighs 239 pounds.

"He's very articulate when he speaks to me", he said.

U.S. President Donald Trump speaks during a joint press conference with Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg (not seen) at the White House in Washington D.C., the United States, on January 10, 2018.

Many questions have been raised about Trump's mental health, including concerns that he has early stage dementia or other mental instability.

Dr Ronny Jackson insisted President Trump, 71, has "incredible genes", and no cognitive impairments.

Jackson confirmed that there is "no indication whatsoever that the President has cognitive issues".

The test, created in 1996 by neurologist Ziad Nasreddine in Montreal, isn't a psychiatric exam, Dr. Jackson acknowledged, and it isn't meant to screen for mental health issues beyond cognitive troubles.

But he says the president asked for it. "I don't know. Some people just have great genes".

Michael Wolff's explosive book Fire and Fury: Inside the Trump White House claims the President repeats the same three stories every 10 minutes, and that he failed to recognize old friends. The doctor also said he administered the Montreal Cognitive Assessment (MoCA), at Trump's request, and the president aced it.

Jackson said Trump had "encouraged" him to address all questions, including the president's cognitive health - an exam the doctor said was a first for any commander-in-chief.

The controversy already has its own hashtag: the girther movement - driven by those who think the new information on Trump's health is fake news.

'He came to me and he said, "Is there something we can do, a test or some type of screening that we can do, to assess my cognitive ability?"

There were also dozens of people who pointed to athletes with the same dimensions as Trump.

"So it turns out, according to the official White House doctor, Trump is completely sane, which makes me more anxious because that means he's doing all of this s- on objective?!" he said. Jackson gave the president's vital statistics as follows: height 1.90m, weight 108kg, resting heart rate 68, blood pressure 122/74.

In addition, there is a memory test involves the doctor reading a list of five words at a rate of one per second and the patient is asked to remember as many words as they can in any order.
