Pokemon Go Introducing Rayquaza & More Hoenn Region Pokemon

Pokemon Go Introducing Rayquaza & More Hoenn Region Pokemon

The Pokemon GO team is not done yet with all the exciting work.

Hot on the heels of another major legendary being leaked, Rayquaza, the mascot of Pokémon Emerald, is making its way to Pokémon Go in the next update to the mobile game.

Fans can also expect new Raid battles and different Pokemon to hatch from eggs. These Pokemon include Salamence, Altaria, Metagross, among others.

The update will introduce Legendary Pokemon Rayquaza, which will be available to battle until March 16.

Niantic also posted more info saying: "In celebration, Pokémon originally discovered in the Hoenn region will take over wild encounters until February 13". Pardon the expression, but there's more. Big Pokemon Go releases typically go live at 9pm, so stay tuned for more information. Naturally, this kind of event can't just go by without special bundles in the in-game store. In addition to Rayquaza, Legendary Pokemon Kyogre was added to the game last month and will continue to appear in raid battles until February 14.

To help speed things along, starting February 9, new special boxes-which include Raid Passes, Incubators, and Star Pieces will be available through in-game store until February 23. Kyogre won't be vanishing until February 14th, so you'll have a little bit of an overlap to try and catch both. Lure Modules will also be more effective ("Super Effective", if you will) until February 23, lasting six hours, as opposed to the normal 30 minutes. If your Pokedex is lacking, be sure to get out there on the 13th and do what you can to fill in those Gen-3 spots.
