TinyBuild are announcing Six Nintendo Switch games tomorrow

Nintendo announced that starting in "early March", My Nintendo Gold Points will be getting a major new use.

My Nintendo aficionados will have another use for their Gold Points in March of this year - you'll be able to spend them on software for the Nintendo Switch according to a news post on Nintendo's United Kingdom website.

Since the release of the Switch in March past year, Nintendo has released some big hits when it comes to first party games. You can redeem those points when buying your next game for the Nintendo Switch from the eShop or even Nintendo.com, said the company.

My Nintendo Gold is earned in a number of ways, including buying games through the eShop. Besides purchasing games, you can earn My Nintendo points by using Nintendo apps like Super Mario Run or Animal Crossing: Pocket Camp on your smartphone and signing into Nintendo services like the eShop. Previously, you were only able to use your balance on in-game items, discounts, and things of that nature.

The My Nintendo loyalty program is about to get a sweet new perk.

Nintendo Labo is a new line of interactive build-and-play experiences that combine DIY creations with the Switch games console.

Dragon Quest Builders brings one of Square Enix's most prolific franchises over to the Switch, and it's coming with exclusive content for the Switch iteration. Next week, Nintendo is set to release Owlboy, Xeodrifter, The Longest Five Minutes, Fe, and Bayonetta 2.

In addition to video games available at retail stores, Nintendo also offers a variety of content that people can download directly to their systems.

This is good news for anyone that's already invested in the machine - though we're likely to see Nintendo take a similar approach with the Switch that we saw them take with the 3DS (releasing many different models over the console's lifespan), the company is unlikely to drop support for the base launch model. If you have any of these games on your wishlist, now could be a good time to buy them.
