Marcelo: 'I think Neymar will play for Real Madrid one day'

While Real's hopes of defending their LaLiga crown are all but over and they have also failed to progress in the Copa del Rey, Zidane sees no reason to be negative ahead of next week's first leg of the Champions League last 16 tie against Paris St Germain.

That infamous low point in Zidane's career is the inspiration for a work of art on display in the Italian's house and he couldn't wait to post it on Instagram. Perhaps the guarantee of being able to play on a weekly basis at Stamford Bridge could appeal to Isco, who has spent large periods of his time in Madrid among the substitutes.

While Benzema struggled, Cristiano Ronaldo netted a hat-trick in Madrid's comfortable win.

Real Madrid are reportedly willing to sell Isco. "I love Isco and I want him to stay here forever".

Perhaps the fans will need to experience more of the good times before their hard exterior melts away.

The Brazilian attacker is having a prolific campaign in the French capital.

The 27-year-old has regularly been touted as a potential target for Real Madrid and there is likely to be fresh speculation linking him with a move to Spain in the summer transfer window.

Marcelo believes former Barcelona star Neymar will eventually join Real Madrid.

Zidane added: "We want to put in a good performance and it won't be an easy match against tough opposition". Their sole defeat was a 4-2 loss at Anoeta in August 2014.

Liverpool already have Naby Keita arriving from RB Leipzig this summer but Jurgen Klopp's side are also keen on Monaco's Thomas Lemar, although Isco could be an alternative if he is made available by Madrid.

Gareth Bale has been directly involved in nine goals in his eight La Liga games against Real Sociedad (six goals and three assists).
