OSU women's basketball: Beavers on fire from deep in blowout win

The Cardinal entered the game tied for first with OR and UCLA, who were also in action Friday night.

Tudor scored 11 points, including three of Oregon State's five 3-pointers, during a 27-3 run that broke a 5-5 tie and the Huskies never threatened. Washington's Dominic Green made one of two free throws before Thompson Jr. connected from behind the arc. She finished with seven 3s to tie her career high.

Hristova scored 21 points and Chanelle Molina 10 for the Cougars. The Ducks completed a sweep of the Washington schools by a combined 52 points, a dramatic course correction coming off a 35-point loss at Stanford.

Oregon: The Ducks face Washington State on Sunday. Five of the Huskies' nine turnovers came on player-control fouls, including three in a row late in the half, as OR stood its ground in the paint. "He and Troy had 13 assists between them so that was a big key making plays for others". It was Washington's lowest point total of the season. OR shot 80 percent 20-of-25 shooting while Ruthy Hebard was 7-for-7 for 16 points in the first half, giving her 1,000 in her career. His top play was a back-court steal with a behind-the-back dribble to avoid a Cougar and a driving finish over Drick Bernstine for a 3-point play and a 63-48 lead.

The Huskies shot 83 percent from the free-throw line compared to 50 percent for the Beavers, and Thompson missed two from the charity stripe that could have won the game with 3.3 seconds left in the first extra period.

Pritchard had 11 points and five assists in the first half, and OR possessed a 38-28 advantage at the break.

Victor Bailey Jr was fouled on a three-point basket pushing the OR lead back to 11 points and the momentum back to the Ducks.

Ducks sophomore forward Ruthy Hebard had a record day, going 12-12 from the floor and racking up 29 points, breaking the OR single-game field goal percentage mark.

"I thought we played great this weekend given the circumstances", Daugherty said.

Stephen Thompson Jr. hit a 3-pointer with 0.3 seconds left in double overtime as Oregon State stormed back to beat Washington 97-94 on Saturday night.

"If you like offensive basketball, that was the game for you tonight", Graves said.

The Cougs tied a season-high with 11 three-pointers, shooting a season-best 55.0% (11-of-20) from distance in the game.

OR made 12 of 13 shots in the first quarter to take a 26-20 lead.

The Huskies (7-18, 1-13), who reached their first Final Four in 2016 and lost in the Sweet 16 last season, have lost six in a row and 13 of their last 14. The Ducks took a ten point lead into the locker room.

"Our first half defense left a lot to be desired", Daugherty said.

With 5.1 seconds remaining in the second quarter, Melgoza took the inbounds pass coast to coast only to get rejected by Gulich in the lane.

Washington won its only matchup with Oregon State last season, 87-61 in Seattle.

The Huskies (7-18, 1-13) fell behind quickly and lost the rematch 95-57.

With 26 seconds remaining, junior center Joanna Grymek used her 6-foot-8-inch frame to snatch a rebound way over the heads of the Huskies.
