Galaxy S9 Will Reportedly Arrive With '3D Emoji' Feature, Dual Stereo Speakers

Around this time a year ago, most rumors said that Apple would do something no other smartphone maker was capable of with the the iPhone X. It turns out Apple did, but not the way we thought. Like Animoji, 3D emoji will also let users have fun making amusing faces with animal characters.

The report claims the S9 will feature Animoji-style 3D emoji which will mimic users' facial expressions.

Samsung is also making sure not to go over $920 retail so as to stay away from the stigma of crossing the $1,000 mark which some claim will eventually slow iPhone X sales.

Since Apple beat manufacturers to the implementation of 3D emojis, it seems that the competition is now hurrying to create (or even copy) a version for new devices, and it could be that Samsung will boast that their version is better still than Apple's.

This year's Galaxy Note 8 was codenamed "Baikal" after one of Russia's biggest lakes, hinting at the smartphone's large 6.3in display, apparently.

We already know that it will tout a souped-up processor - likely Samsung's own Exynos 9810 chipset, or Qualcomm's powerful Snapdragon 845 (also built by Samsung).

Unfortunately, only Galaxy S8 (and S8 Plus) owners installing Android Oreo are receiving the new Samsung Experience right now. The South Korean mega-corporation prides itself on innovation, but has also been slapped with lawsuits in the past for too closely copying Apple's iPhone features and design.

Samsung could improve on Apple's Animojis in a number of ways.

It is back in October a year ago that reports of Note 9 coming with fingerprint sensor under the display surfaced online. These rumors continued to circulate more recently about the upcoming Samsung Galaxy S9, but they were short-lived.

One of the other new features of the Galaxy S9 will be stereo speakers.

The Samsung Galaxy S9 is now being tested by Korean mobile networks and accessory companies ahead of its release.
