Lionel Messi can't be stopped, says Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata

Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata admits that he was wrong to play for the Blues while suffering from a back injury.

Antonio Conte has admitted he is in the dark over how long Morata will be out for and, for a striker who hasn't scored since Boxing Day, the questions are adding up.

However, Barcelona have been incredible all season, so will prove a huge test for Chelsea, who overturned their recent poor results with an emphatic performance in the 3-0 win over bottom of the table West Brom.

And Morata has pin-pointed Messi as Chelsea's biggest threat, claiming his side's defence needs to be at their best to limit the Argentine's threat.

In an interview with Movistar, Alvaro Morata assessed the story arc of his first season at Chelsea thus far. "It's a team where I'm very happy, where I started well until I had some physical problems".

"I made a mistake in that respect as I played with pain (earlier in the campaign)".

That led to Morata getting a bit too carried away when Real took on fierce city rivals Atletico one season, and the Spain global explained how he took on his worldwide teammate in one particular challenge due to Mourinho's words. I don't know. I'm a bit anxious because he's an importan player for us.

That appears to not be the case, at least according to Morata himself, although it remains to be seen whether fans can expect him to play any part in the home clash against the Baggies. His penalty miss in the 2012 semi-final also proved to be decisive as Chelsea went on to win their first Champions League trophy. I never asked to be a starter, Madrid is another planet.

'But I didn't play knockout games in the Champions League, neither against Barcelona, Atletico Madrd, Sevilla or Valencia.
