Woman Doesn't Trust Security Staff With Purse So She Enters X-Ray Machine

The Daily Star of United Kingdom reported yesterday that the incident took place at Dongguan Railway Station in China's southern Guangdong Province. Only days before China's upcoming Lunar New Year, celebrated on February 16.

According to reports from Chinese media, she'd sent her bigger bags through the machine and tried to walk through the security check point while wearing her hand bag.

While the story has given locals a laugh, Dongguan Railway Station has warned others not to put themselves through the scanners.

A video shared online shows the woman placing her luggage on the conveyor belt of the machine, before walking through the security scanner with a small handbag.

She placed her purse on the conveyor belt and then climbed on herself so she could ensure the safety of her bag and the valuables inside.

However, after being told her handbag needs to be checked as well, she obviously deemes the risk of leaving it unattended too high to take, so she just jumps right along. But do you not trust security staff with your stuff enough to enter an X-ray machine to make sure nothing happens to your bag?

While internet users found the photos amusing, the station security staff did not.

Staff were reportedly so stunned they didn't stop her when she collected her bags and bolted to get her train.

It's advised not to ride the X-ray machine as the radiation given off by the scanner can be harmful.
