Xiaomi's new teaser hints at Mi TV launch on Valentine's Day?

The phone will also come in variants with 3GB of RAM and 32GB of storage, and 4GB of RAM as well as 64GB of storage.

Now, if the leaked info is to be believed, the Redmi Note 5 Pro will be fueled by the Snapdragon 636 64-bit octa-core processor, while it will ship with a 4,000mAh non-removable battery.

While the event is scheduled for February 14, a lot of details about the Redmi Note 5 has already been leaked online. However, we will have to wait and watch till Xiaomi unveils the phone this Valentine's Day.

It remains to be seen if Xiaomi opts for Android TV platform in the India version of the Mi TV models or it continues with PatchWall, which is present in the Chinese Mi TVs. Even as Xiaomi fans are eagerly waiting for another record-breaking affordable smartphone launching tomorrow in India, there seems to be no singularity on the exact nomenclature for the device.

Now, ahead of the official launch, specifications of both the phones - Redmi Note 5 and Redmi Note 5 Pro have surfaced online.

If the render below is trustworthy then the Redmi 5 Plus and the Redmi Note 5 are different phones.

The photo on the teaser suggests that the "Redmi Note 5" could have a display with an 18:9 aspect ratio and narrow bezels. In addition, the consumers can ask the Mi TV to control other Mi smart home devices.

Xiaomi India will be hosting an event in the National Capital on February 14. Xiaomi had also released a teaser video of the TV earlier today that gave its glimpse from certain angles.

The front of the phone will be dominated by the 5.99-inch Full HD+ display which gets up to 450 nits maximum brightness and has 2.5D curved glass. In terms of processor, the Redmi 5 Plus has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor, which is the same processor powering the previous Redmi Note 4.

This one comes with a dual camera setup at the back.

As for the pricing is concerned, the Redmi Note 5 could be priced a bit higher than its predecessor. It will also sport a 8-megapixel selfie camera with 1080p video recording. Clients can expect comparative storage and RAM alternatives as the last year's Redmi Note 4. The handset will also pack a 4,100mAh non-removable battery.
