Danielle Herrington lands cover of 2018's 'Sports Illustrated' Swimsuit Issue

According to People magazine, the Compton native received the surprise of a lifetime when Tyra Banks greeted her at the Sports Illustrated office with her 2018 cover. In the image, she is seen posing on a beach in The Bahamas while wearing a skimpy pink bikini.

The 25-year-old, who rocketed to global stardom thanks to her fabulous curves, was standing on a large rock in the middle of a the beach when things turned sour.

Canadian tennis sensation Eugenie Bouchard will again be featured on the pages of Sports Illustrated's Swimsuit Edition. "It's a weird first reaction but I looked down and saw my family, my friends and family, I was so so grateful to have them there".

"I believe that everyone is a survivor of something."
"Women of all different sizes and ages, naked, their skin shouting words they wanted the world to see".

It's not the first time Kate's graced the cover of Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Edition - she was crowned Rookie of the Year back in 2011, and has since appeared in the magazine in 2012, 2013 and last year.

Slipping into her ANTM hosting stance, she said: 'One girl stands before me, but I only have one photo in my hands and this photo represents the girl that is the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit 2018 cover model. "That stuff reflects your attitude: the way you go into work; the way you go into your dating life", she said.

The 25-year-old actress, who starred romantic comedy The Other Woman, took a risk during her latest shoot in Aruba by standing on a rock in the sea on what appeared to be a stormy day. All those things separately don't guarantee a cover, though.

Sports Illustrated made waves Tuesday when it announced Danielle Herrington as this year's Swimsuit Issue cover model.

You may have noticed Danielle Herrington's name pop up on your newsfeed today (Feb. 13), and there's a really good reason for why she's trending. "She had an enthusiasm and effervescence about her - I felt like I was meeting her for the first time". "She owned every single second of her shoot", the editor continued.
