Here's how you downgrade to the older and better version of Snapchat

On Monday, the app rolled out a redesign that dramatically changes the look and experience of Snapchat-and many members are lashing out.

"In line with advice from the [National Cyber Security Centre], we recommend people enable automatic updates".

After user received an updated version of the app, the company has been facing a backlash from all across the globe due to complicated features and the streaks they lost because of the update. Idk what these people were thinking Is there a way I can revert back to the previous version?? I'm so confused. Do any of you guys have the answer key?

The new redesign condenses Stories (photos and videos that are visible to your friends and disappear after 24 hours) and incoming Snapchats (real-time conversations with friends) on one "Friends" page.

And bang, like evil wizard magic, you'll have the "old one" back.

Incoming Snapchats have priority at the top of the page, but the Stories and conversations look almost identical and are no longer in chronological order.

According to eMarketer's latest forecast on social network usage, Facebook is losing younger users at an even faster pace than previously expected. This year, for the first time, less than half of USA internet users ages 12 to 17 will use Facebook, it found. Facebook will also lose 2 million users under 25 this year, eMarketer estimates.

Over the weekend, Snapchat warned users of the dangers of losing memories if reinstalling or logging out of the app, but they have since gone a step further. The petition, authored by Nic Rumsey, states: "There is a general level of annoyance among users and many have made a decision to use a VPN app to go back to the old Snapchat, as that's how annoying this new update has become".

One of the simplest ways is to simply turn off app auto-updates on your smartphone, but this only works if the update hasn't already been installed. The Snap Map has also been moved to the Discover page. In another change, the "Discover" page now consists entirely of sponsored or featured content. There's an embed feature, letting you quickly and easily get a link or an actual embed code for inclusion in your own posts or website.

From the sounds of it, Snapchat has no intent to go back to its old ways.

Then Go to Settings and click on iTunes and App Store.

"Snapchat's popularity with teens and young adults has grown significantly since the platform first launched in 2011", eMarketer said. Now you have to download a File Explorer app on your Android device to locate the Snapchat APK in the Download folder. The version you just installed on your iPhone via iTunes will likely be the older version. If so, what do you think about the Snapchat redesign?
