In Haryana, Jind gets ready for BJP chief Amit Shah's mega bike

The rally has commenced early morning in the district with various local BJP leaders seen enthusiastically riding their bikes to join the rally.

Shah is also expected to ride a bike to reach to the venue, reported The Week.

Shah pointed out that Haryana was infamous for rampant corruption and maladministration in the tenure of previous governments but the BJP regime, headed by Chief Minister Manohar Lal Khattar, provided a corruption-free and transparent government.

The Jat leaders had been pressing the Haryana government to give more reservation in jobs to members of their community and withdraw cases against protesters, who indulged in violence and arson during the Jat agitation in February 2016.

The Akhil Bhartiya Jat Aarkashan Sanghrash Samiti (AIJASS) led by Yashpal Malik chose to call off strike during Shah's visit. But, it seems that Haryana government has assured the tribunal that it only Bikes that have pollution clearance are going to be included in the rally. Armed jawans could be seen in different parts of Jind and some adjoining towns, including roads leading to the venue at Pandu Pindara village, on the outskirts of the Jind city.

"The Modi government at the Centre and Khattar government in the state have ensured corruption-free governance".

Saini said he would not attend a public rally to be addressed by BJP president, Amit Shah, at Jind tomorrow. Jind is considered to be the nerve centre of Haryana politics. The Jat agitators had announced that planned to reach Jind in tractor-trolleys to disrupt the bike rally.

The ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the state has plans to have supporters and youth coming for the rally on over one lakh motorcycles.

The Jind rally was held in the shadow of opposition Indian National Lok Dal (INLD) threatening to show black flags to the BJP president over the issue of non-construction of the SYL (Sutlej-Yamuna Link) canal and failure of the BJP to fulfil the promises made to the people of Haryana.
