Real Madrid? Neymar '100 per cent' staying at PSG - Al-Khelaifi

The Frenchman sent in a cross that Edinson Cavani let through before Neymar back-heeled the ball to the unmarked Adrien Rabiot, who fired a right-footed shot past Madrid goalie Keylor Navas.

Ronaldo's score was his 100th career Champions League goal.

It will be a long way back now, however, even at the Parc des Princes, and perhaps Sergio Ramos summed it up best. He scored a double despite PSG keeping the Portuguese megastar in check for most of the evening.

It was a good evening, we completely deserved our victory.

The 22-year-old midfielder made an instant impact, playing a role in Ronaldo's second of the night on 83 minutes, before directly setting up Marcelo for a third late on.

It was a season-defining match for Real with La Liga looking out of reach already but it was the visitors who continued to take the game to Zinedine Zidane's men in the second half.

"I think our team played a great game but we got a bad result".

"This club has 12 European Cups and that means a lot", Zidane said in his post-match press conference.

"Today we showed that from minute one to minute 90".

It was one-way traffic in Portugal as Liverpool smashed Porto 5-0 thanks to a Sadio Mane hat-trick to all but secure a berth in the Champions League quarter-finals. On a counter, Marcelo picked out Ronaldo with an incredible diagonal pass, but Alphonse Areola rushed out of his goal and saved the ensuing shot with his face.

But on the ensuing corner kick, Giovani Lo Celso was called for a penalty on Toni Kroos.

It was PSG which was in command in the second half, creating most of the significant chances, but Ronaldo struck again by scoring the go-ahead and slightly chaotic goal with his knee after Areola parried a low cross by substitute Marco Asensio. He has scored 17 with his left, and just 13 with his head.

"Right now I'm not thinking about my future, I'm only thinking about the game as it's the only thing we can control so we're focusing on preparing for the game and we'll see what happens", Zidane told a news conference ahead of Wednesday's first leg in Madrid.

Real supporters chose an image of a famous fan in Rafael Nadal to adorn a display unfurled at the south end of the ground as the sides came out, hoping their team could draw inspiration from someone who has conquered Paris 10 times as French Open champion.

Neymar made his impact earlier in the match, receiving a yellow card for an illegal tackle.
