Jimmy Kimmel demands new gun laws after Parkland tragedy

Go on TV and tell them to do that. "If we don't finally ACT, the sickness of gun violence will kill us all", she writes.

President Donald Trump said he is heading to Florida, where a community is in mourning after a shooting at a high school killed 17 people. "It's a dream. It hasn't hit me yet". It would mark the 18th school shooting in 2018 and become one of the deadliest mass shootings in US history.

Some people openly sobbed as the victims' names were read aloud at the vigil near the school in Parkland on Thursday night. In the wake of a mass shooting at a SC church, Obama led thousands in singing "Amazing Grace".

Trump's visit followed a similar script to his trip to Las Vegas in the fall after the worst mass slaying in modern history.

"We have spoken with victims and families, and deeply regret the additional pain this causes all those affected by this horrific tragedy", said Federal Bureau of Investigation director Christopher Wray, who took up his post in August.

"We want to make sure this never happens again", said Scott, who appeared with Broward County Sheriff Scott Israel, Florida Attorney General Pam Bondi, Broward Schools Superintendent Robert Runcie and Robert Lasky, the agent in charge of the FBI Miami office.

Nikolas Cruz is accused of killing at least 17 people. At one point, people began chanting, "No more guns!"

"My princess wasn't safe in that school", said Andrew Pollack, speaking at the funeral of his 18-year-old daughter Meadow.

President Trump tweets on Florida school shooting suspect: "Neighbors and classmates knew he was a big problem".

"It's illogical that the law says a minor can't have a drink, but can buy a gun", said 47-year-old Mavy Rubiano, whose child survived the shooting. "We have found that when large capacity rounds are regulated, you get drastic drops in both the incidence of gun massacres and the fatality rate of gun massacres", said Klarevas. Americans won't tolerate losing, but it seems we are losing the battle to keep our children out of the path of bullets fired in anger. We want your action.

"Children are being murdered", Kimmel said, getting choked up as he addressed President Donald Trump with a plea to address gun control. Yet, he gave no specifics on how he would confront the issue of mental health in the country.

"Clearly we have a problem, and if your only solution is to put more guns on the streets and in schools and courthouses and airports, I shudder to think what our future will look like", she said. He then aired a brief montage of politicians and commentators explaining it was "premature" to discuss gun legislation, and ended with a clip of Trump saying, "This isn't a guns situation".

Van Cleve argues that it's not just to take away a citizen's right to protect themselves, with some 80 million law-abiding gun owners in the country.

The President made the trip to meet with first responders soon after Air Force One arrived in West Palm Beach for the president to spend the weekend at his Palm Beach estate, which is about 40 miles from Parkland.

The Trumps have been joined by Florida Gov.
