Dry morning, PM rain and snow showers developing

Monday will feature showers, especially in the morning before we dry things out heading into that spring-like Tuesday. Today will be another above average day with our temperatures.

It will be warm and windy -- a WIND ADVISORY is in effect until noon for winds sustained up to 30-35 miles per hour with gusts up to 45 miles per hour possible.

According to WRAL meteorologist Elizabeth Gardner, the rain will continue throughout the morning and afternoon before tapering off for the evening commute. If we hit 80º, this would tie the all time record high temperature for this date! Wow!

We've already reached our low for the evening (53°) and temperatures are warming across the Mid-South.

You will need the umbrella out the door in the morning as we will have chances for rain throughout Monday. Highs should top out in the upper 40s and lower 50s this afternoon. For now, it looks like flooding won't be an issue with us avoiding the heaviest of rain.

Every day this week we are expecting rain.

Tuesday's temperatures will probably not break any records. The shower chance will return for Thursday with highs in the upper 50s.

Rain showers continue into Tuesday and the first part of Wednesday.
