Imran Khan and his new wife's honeymoon destinations revealed

Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan married Bushra Maneka, a respected Pir [faith healer] in Pakpattan, in "a simple ceremony" in Lahore on Sunday, the party's spokesperson told DawnNews.

Bushra Maneka aka Bushra Bibi, who is seen clad in burqa in the photographs circulated by the party, is said to be a "spiritual advisor".

Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Pervez Khattak and PTI's General Secretary Jahangir Khan Tareen were also present on this occasion.

Imran's friend Zulfi Bukhari and Awn Chaudhry said the nikah was solemnised by Mufti Saeed in Lahore on Sunday (today).

Imran Khan, 65, first came in touch with Bushra Bibi for spiritual guidance a couple of years ago.

The ceremony was a low-profile one as per the desire of Imran Khan, Haq added.

Khan had first tied the knot with Jemima Goldsmith on May 16, 1995 that ended in divorce after nine years on June 22, 2004.

Imran, getting married for the third time, had earlier married Rehman Khan in Jan 2015, which ended after a period of 10 months. He expressed the hope that Imran's marriage would prove a blessing not only for Khan but for the entire nation.

The statement further said if and when the marriage proposal is accepted by Ms Maneka, Mr Khan will make it public in a proper manner. Jamaat-e-Islami leader of PP-147 Malik Riaz announced joining PTI, Similarly, social leaders Abid Saeed, Haji Nisar Ahmed also made a decision to join PTI and work under the leadership of Imran Khan to bring countrywide change in society.

Reham Khan had recently said Imran Khan is good only in marrying, but is not fit to maintain a happy-married life.

Mufti Saeed who was also nikah khawan of that marriage had not commented when asked about the ceremony of November 2015.

As per an earlier report, Khan had tied the knot on the night of January 1 in Lahore and next day went straight from there to appear before the anti-terrorism court in Islamabad that granted him bail.

Taking a jibe at the PTI leader, Chaudhry said that where Nawaz Sharif was destined to become four times prime minister, Imran's fate was to get married for the third time.

A few pictures of the ceremony were also released by the party in which Khan can be seen sitting with his wife's family members.

Shafqat Mehmood wished the couple "all the best".
