Reddit AMA Session Reveals More About The Samsung Galaxy S9

The release date of Samsung Galaxy S9 is coming near and the leaks are still coming out from different parts of the internet. Samsung's take on this finds users creating avatars whose facial features they can control.

Samsung is one of just a handful of Android OEMs that has stuck with the tried and true 3.5mm headphone jack in recent years - a trend that's expected to continue with the upcoming Galaxy S9 and S9 Plus.

With certain Samsung Galaxy S9 features being embedded within the display of the device, this means that the manufacturer has two options with the design of the unit. The Galaxy S9 and the Galaxy S9+, to begin with, will be available in as many as four colours: Midnight Black, Lilac Purple, Coral Blue, Titanium Gray, something has previously been reported as well. The back of the Elephone U Pro uses Gorilla Glass 5, and it comes with the same vertically aligned dual camera and fingerprint reader layout as the Galaxy S9. It reveals the tablet has a 10.5-inch 2560 x 1600 Super AMOLED display, a slight change from the 9.7-inch 2048 x 1536 display of the previous model.

The addition of the 3D Emoji also suggested that the Galaxy S9 will become the first Samsung flagship equipped with a 3D sensor, which ET News said was the case.

Further, the Samsung tablet is listed with 12-megapixel autofocus camera and a LED flash in its rear panel. Or for someone who really wants a Samsung Galaxy S9 but can't, or won't, pay the rumoured US$1,100 price tag. On the front, it will feature an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calling with f/1.6 aperture. Like the Galaxy S9+, the smaller S9 will also be supporting slow motion video capturing at 960 fps, OIS, laser autofocus and dual-autofocus. Both the devices are likely to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 chipset for the U.S. variants and Exynos 9810 SoC for European countries and India. Let's see what all Samsung launches at its event later this week.
