Alshon Jeffery Played Through Torn Rotator Cuff All Season

The wideout played through the season with a torn rotator cuff, reportedly having surgery on it Wednesday morning.

It might have been one of the best endings he ever could've asked for, but let's not forget that wide receiver Alshon Jeffery's first season in Philadelphia didn't get off the greatest of starts.

The source added it is "very likely" Jeffrey will miss the preseason and is "unsure" about the regular season "but the expectations are to be ready for Week 1". Still, the fact that Jeffery suffered this injury and was able to accomplish everything that he did during his first year with the Eagles is truly unbelievable to think about.

His strong play this season earned him a four-year, $52 million contract extension with the Eagles, which he signed in December. He led the team in receiving touchdowns with nine.

Through his first seven games with the Eagles, Jeffery was averaging just 51 yards per game and had found the end zone only twice.

He came up big during the postseason, compiling 12 grabs for 219 yards and three touchdowns, including a three-catch, 73-yard, one-touchdown performance in the Super Bowl win over the New England Patriots.
