Philips Hue is getting new outdoor options to light up your garden

Back in January, Philips Hue announced it was working on outdoor smart lights ideally suited for patios, gardens, or balconies.

The Philips Hue Lily spotlight, one of several new options for smart outdoor lighting coming this summer. Existing indoor Hue lighting has starter packs from under $100, with add-on bulbs and accessories from $25. The spotlight Philips Hue Lily costs $270 and comes with three lights, while the Calla is $129 and is created to illuminate pathways - both have access to 16 million different colors.

The luminaires attach to the side of your house, usually mounted near a door, and are meant to act as a replacement for the traditional motion-activated welcome/security light.

A new line of weatherproof spotlights and lanterns will let you bathe your outdoor spaces in all manner of shades, adding dramatic lighting to your prized flowerbeds, and added security to less-well illuminated corners of your property. Philips Hue Calla Alternatively, the Philips Hue Calla is ideal for path lighting and can also be used to enhance your outdoor space. The Hue white and color ambiance range is based on a plug and play system, making installation easy and allowing for full flexibility to position wherever you need light.

You can get the bulbs starting in July throughout the United States and Europe. The Calla bollard will retail for Dollars 129.99 / Euro 139.99 as base unit pack.

The luminary lights attach to walls and are available in a four styles: Lucca, Tuar, Turaco, and Ludere. United States only: the PAR38 lamp will retail for Dollars 29.99 for a single pack and double pack for Dollars 49.99.
