CM Punk claims he'll return to octagon at UFC 225 in Chicago

CM Punk is finally returning to the Octagon, TMZ Sports has confirmed - and this time, he vows to make up for that loss against Mickey Gall. There is no indication as of now as to who CM Punk will be fighting but it will most likely be a fighter who is also finding his feet in the sport.

Punk claims he will win and cry when he locks eyes with his wife (fellow ex-WWE star AJ Lee) and coaches.

Punk (0-1-0) made his professional MMA debut well over a year ago at UFC 203, suffering a first round TKO loss to Mickey Gall. He's been a constant presence at the Roufusport camp in Milwaukee, Wis., training alongside the likes of UFC welterweight champion Tyron Woodley, former lightweight champ Anthony Pettis, former ONE Championship titleholder Ben Askren and other notables. Punk responded by dropping a hint about his next fight. After the ECW experiment ended, Punk's career took off as he would win a total of five world championships, including a 434-day reign with the WWE Championship in 2011. The main card airs on pay-per-view following prelims on FS1 and UFC Fight Pass, though the full lineup ands bout order haven't been finalized. Jackson did compete once as an amateur MMA fighter, losing via unanimous decision to Nick Felder at Lonestar Beatdown 12 in September 2009.

Punk indicated on Twitter today that his second MMA fight will take place in his hometown of Chicago on Saturday, June 9th at UFC 225.
