TE Jimmy Graham expected to sign 3-year deal with Packers

TE Jimmy Graham expected to sign 3-year deal with Packers

Graham was one of the Saints' best offensive weapons during his tenure in New Orleans, but it took the Seahawks two years to figure out how to take advantage of Graham's skill set as a dominant red zone threat.

As the NFL's "legal tampering" period begins before free agent signings, it appears there is a 50-50 chance the Green Bay Packers could be shoring up their tight end corps. That contract quickly proved to be a mistake, but the revamped Packers' front office believes that they have a much better solution in Graham.

The Seattle Seahawks, much like the rest of the National Football League, will look quite different when they take the field next season. Graham is expected to sign a three-year deal.

When Jimmy Graham was traded from New Orleans to Seattle, we all thought it would stimulate a stagnant Seahawks offense. But he also hauled in 10 touchdown passes for the first time since 2014.

On the contrary, his 520 receiving yards was his lowest total since his rookie season.

In three seasons with the Seahawks, Graham played in 45 games, recorded 176 receptions for 2,104 yards and 18 touchdowns. The Baltimore Ravens are reportedly interested in the five-time Pro Bowler.

But while his Seattle career is history, he'll be back soon as the Seahawks will host the Packers at CenturyLink Field in 2018.
