Nigeria's President Negotiating the Release Of 100 Abducted Schoolgirls

Nigerians had in 2015 voted for Buhari against then incumbent President Jonathan following the former's promise to rescue the over 200 Chibok girls abducted by Boko Haram, and end the activities of the terrorists, among other promises. As a matter of fact, to prove to Nigerians how inept he is, the President canceled the Federal Executive Council meeting that was to hold after the Dapchi Girls were kidnapped because of a conference he had to attend.

She asked the government to explain the claims and counter-claims by the Federal Government that the girls had been rescued thereby causing confusion.

Buhari said government was restrategising and partnering with local and global community to ensure the rescue of every missing school girl.

"While we welcome the visit of President Buhari to affected states, we encourage the government and all stakeholders to engage decisively in order to promote a constructive dialogue with the aim of finding viable solutions and sustainable economic policies that would permit all to live in peace, whatever their ethnicity or religion".

An ad hoc committee of the House of Representatives began preliminary investigations into the abduction of 110 girls from the Government Girls Science and Technical College, Dapchi, by the Boko Haram insurgents on February 19.

Earlier speaking, Governor Ibrahim Gaidam said that when the incident occurred he was in Abuja for an official engagement where he rushed back to Yobe and drove to Dapchi, met the Parents and talked to them. This is borne out of this administration's conviction that, doing so is safer devoid of risks and will not endanger the lives of our young girls who are in harm's way. S was aiding Nigeria to defeat Boko Haram terrorists.

"I have ordered a 24 hour brief to me by security agencies on its successes or challenges". They must live to achieve their individual ambitions, to be great women of tomorrow.

"I am here in Yobe state to express my honest sympathy with the parents, government and entire people of Yobe whose daughters were carelessly abducted by the unrepented terrorists". "Be assured that measures are being put in place to achieve these objectives", he said.
