Stormy Daniels discussed affair with Trump in 2007 radio appearance

Kotzev says he was actually sitting next to Stormy when she physically signed her second statement denying that she was paid any "hush money", and he says the environment was extremely "lighthearted".

There have been all sorts of complications surrounding this incident-like whether the 2016 payment from Trump's lawyer, Michael Cohen, could have violated election law-but Daniels, meanwhile, has been in the spotlight for weeks. By sending the money to Trump, it would involve the President - who has never acknowledged the agreement or the affair - in the case. Cohen did not explain why he made the payment or say whether Trump was aware of it.

"The president has addressed these directly and made very well clear that none of these allegations are true", press secretary Sarah Huckabee Sanders said during a White House briefing on March 6. The group claims it is an illegal campaign contribution because of the size and goal of the payment.

She also would be able to "use and publish any text messages, photos and/or videos relating to the president that she may have in her possession, all without fear of retribution and/or legal liability for damages", the Avenatti letter said.

The head of CBS News said Tuesday that a 60 Minutes interview with adult film star Stormy Daniels is on its way but that more journalistic work needs to be done on the story.

Last week, Daniels filed a civil suit in Los Angeles County Superior Court to have a nondisclosure agreement she reached with President Trump's personal attorney Michael Cohen in October ruled invalid because it was signed only by Daniels and Cohen, not by the president himself. The White House also did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

Clifford could be subjected to a $1 million penalty if she broke the nondisclosure agreement she signed.

He added that Daniels felt pressured into signing the NDA that would eventually prevent her from speaking about the affair at all beyond hints and indirect responses, a claim her lawsuit against Trump implies as well. Avenatti told CNN over the weekend that at least 10 people had offered to pay the penalty if she would discuss the alleged affair.
