Arrest made in Binghamton University homicide

Police have yet to release how she died.

Anderson's roommate Josephine Artin told The Post Tuesday that she found the dead woman's body in Tercero's bed after tracking down Anderson using the Find my Friends phone app. An autopsy on Saturday ruled Anderson's death a homicide, but no further details were given. But if Tercero has dual citizenship in the US and Nicaragua, the situation then becomes more complicated.

"Working with the Binghamton Police Department, we are diligently and thoroughly preparing the case for a Grand Jury to consider". It is unclear whether Tercero has retained an attorney. "Though we can not bring Haley Anderson back, we will fight for justice", he said.

Tercero was arrested in Nicaragua on Tuesday afternoon and is now being transferred to a prison in El Chipote, about 40 miles southwest of the country's capital, according to ABC News.

"Now Nicaragua does have the discretion as to whether or not they want to honor the extradition request", said attorney Peter Charnetsky. Toth was not a citizen of Nicaragua. She lived about a mile away from the SUNY Binghamton campus, officials said, and worked as a barista at a local cafe in Binghamton, according to her LinkedIn profile.

"The Binghamton University community is deeply saddened to learn of the death of senior nursing student Haley Anderson, whose death is being investigated by the Binghamton Police Department".

Another said: "I hope that in this time of sadness and grieving that her family is able to find some solace knowing how many lives and people that Haley inspired. Haley's laughter was infectious and her child-like spirit touched all the people around her", it reads. "Without her even knowing it".
