Microsoft's more inclusive Xbox avatars finally arrive in April

Tom Warren, the senior editor of The Verge, has learned and shared on Twitter that Microsoft's E3 2018 Xbox Media Briefing date and hour have already been set, and that the presser is going to be "different" in comparison with the last few years. "In fact, it will be our biggest showing ever", announced the company.

While Microsoft's focus will shift to the Microsoft Theater during E3 this year, the company will still have a presence on the show floor, with a new booth dedicated entirely to the company's streaming platform, Mixer. Console manufacturer Xbox will host its 2018 Electronic Entertainment Expo briefing at 1pm on June 10.

In addition to this event, various Xbox FanFest activities, hands-on gameplay and demos will be present, and apparently more events are planned, too.

First and foremost, along with having demos, booths, the Los Angeles Convention Center, which has been the standard location for most companies in the past, Microsoft will also be expanding to take over the Microsoft Theater. Well, that didn't happen, but we've still got our fingers crossed for this year, especially as Microsoft is promising big things.

The annual Xbox E3 Briefing will now take place at the Microsoft Theater at LA Live, which will act as a central hub for other Xbox events during the week.

Of course, Microsoft can't not hype their E3 showing, right?

While Microsoft didn't hit that release window, sources close to the matter have told The Verge that the feature will roll out to Xbox Insiders later this month, but only to users in the Xbox Alpha ring of testing.

May will then bring a new avatar store filled with props and clothing to personalise your character further (and spend money on). What are you expecting to see?
